2022 Golden Globes Nominations: Full List of Nominees

After a turbulent year under scrutiny for an apparent lack of diversity among its members, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced the nominees for the 79th annual Golden Globe Awards.

Earlier this year, the HFPA came under fire for not having any black members in its nearly 100-person institution, accepting expensive gifts to sway their votes and other unethical behavior. Studios and publicists have called on talent to boycott the awards body until they make meaningful changes, and NBC has canceled the 2022 television broadcast for the Globes.

Since then, the HFPA has diversified its ranks, renewed its bylaws, banned gifts, restricted paid travel, and began to undergo significant fundamental changes. In a letter he received diverse Last week, HFPA President Helen Hoen revealed that the 2022 gala will focus on the HFPA’s charitable efforts, and invited celebrities to participate in announcing the nominations, like regular years. However, the 2022 Golden Globes will look different than usual years as there is still a cloud hanging over the HFPA.
