The world – The parents of actress Alicia Witt were found dead inside their home in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Monday night, after she called one of her relatives to check on them.
Waite, the singer, songwriter, actress and author, said in a written statement that she had not heard back from her parents, Robert and Diane Wait, for several days.
She wrote, “I reached out to my cousin who lives near my parents to check on her. Unfortunately, the result was unimaginable.” “I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and wrap my head around this turn of events, this surreal loss.”
Police said the death of the couple, who were found inside their home on Monday night, is not suspicious but the cause of their death is a mystery.

Worcester Police said the police were called to the house shortly after 9pm by a family member who asked for help in examining the couple.
Once inside the house, officers found the couple dead. Police said there were no clear signs of the cause of death.
“There was no shock,” Lieutenant Shawn Murtha said.
Police listed Diane Waite at 75 and Robert Waite at number 87.
Police said there were reports that the couple were having problems with their oven and were using a heater.
Adam Roach, deputy chief of the fire department in Worcester, said firefighters were called and checked the air quality inside the house, but found no harmful gases present.
“There were no signs of carbon monoxide,” Roche said.
A neighbor said that the couple were rarely seen outside the house and that she believed they had been ill for some time.
She said several neighbors had offered to help them because their house had fallen into disrepair, but they had politely refused. She said a neighbor had been mowing the lawn and removing snow from the property for a few years.
Police said a government medical examiner would conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The couple have two children, Ian Witt and Alicia Witt. She recently released a new album and published a book.

Her career has included recent roles in “Orange Is the New Black”, “Nashville”, “Twin Peaks”, “Twin Peaks: The Return”, “The Walking Dead”, “Two Weeks Notice”, “88 Minutes” and “Mr. .Dutch authorship.”
Diane Waite was a celebrity in her own right in the ’80s when her hair, which was more than 10 feet long, earned her a place in the Guinness Book of Records. Reports from that time indicate that her husband and children helped her keep her locks of hair, which were braided and stacked on top of her head.
Diane Waite tutored the couple’s children at home and Robert was a science teacher at Burncott Prep.
