It Shouldn’t Matter If Daredevil and the Other Marvel TV Shows Aren’t Canon

The continuity of Marvel’s select programs has been a subject of debate since the inception of Marvel Television nearly a decade ago. While Marvel Studios has been busy fleshing out the Marvel Cinematic Universe with big-budget movies, Marvel TV has left together shows featuring some of the brand’s most fundamental characters. Due to differences in budgets (and thus quality) between the two production arms — Marvel Studios and Marvel Television — the debate over whether something “MCU canon” was something was allowed to flourish, as it does even today.

Fast forward to Wednesday, and the discussion is lively as ever. Hawkeye Episode 5 reintroduced Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin to the masses, officially – without a doubt – putting the character in the MCU. The only question now is whether the role of D’Onofrio will be an entirely new version of the character, or whether it will be the character we’ve seen over the three seasons. reckless on Netflix.

And so the shot that begins the discussion was fired.

However, the thing is that it shouldn’t matter at all Daredevil, shield agents, or that one of several other Marvel TV projects was eventually ruled “unlawful”. Call it MCU Legends, if you will. Just because Kingpin might be a new iteration of the character doesn’t take away the work D’Onofrio put in as the iconic Marvel baddie hero in reckless.

It must be the Matt Murdock version that appears in Spider-Man: There is no room for home– Alleged to be a rebooted version, which does not mean that Charlie Cox previously performed invalid.

Regardless of the case regarding continuity, Marvel TV has produced some high-quality programs that are still fun to watch. Even if they are found not in the same world as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this magic will not be eliminated. You will still be able to go back and watch 39 episodes of reckless, and will still have the same story and actors. There are still seven seasons of Shield Agents Indulge yourself as you root for Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennett) and the rest of the team.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the biggest entertainment franchise ever on the planet, so I understand wanting to be a part of it. But if an offer is ultimately determined not to be in this law, it will not make it invalid or of lower quality. Enjoy the show for what it is, not for what you want.
