Kate McKinnon Makes Return After Filming Tiger King Series

Kate McKinnon is finally back in Saturday Night Live last night. McKinnon was absent from the show to portray her role as Carol Baskin in the upcoming Peacock drama Joe Exotic. Dramatic exposition of the story chronicled by the Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. McKinnon kicked off last night’s episode, hosted by Billie Eilish, as Dr. Anthony Fauci, explaining how families must deal with the COVID-19 omicron variant during the holiday season. “I had returned!” Fauci starts from McKinnon. “Do people still think I’m sexy or are we done with it?” You can watch last cold night’s full open below.

Joe Exotic Filming began in Australia in July. In addition to McKinnon as Baskin, the series also stars John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic, Kyle MacLachlan as Howard Baskin, Dean Winters as Jeff Lowe, Brian Van Holt as John Rink, William Fichtner as Rick Kirkham, Nat Wolff As Travis Maldonado, Sam Kelly as John Finley, Lex Mason as Kelsey “Save” Savery, Joel Marsh Garland as James Garritson, Marlowe Kelly as Jimmy Murdock, and Aleandra Calabrese as Lauren Lowe. Joe Exotic It hails from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. Etan Frankel writes and executive produces under his overall deal with the studio. McKinnon is also an executive producer alongside Wondery’s Hernan Lopez, Marshall Lewy, and Aaron Hart.
