Kate Winslet says she couldn’t stop crying when she was reunited with Leonardo DiCaprio

When the two Academy Award-winning actors reunited in Los Angeles after nearly three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was emotional.

“I couldn’t stop crying,” Winslet told the Guardian. “I’ve known him for half my life! It’s not like I found myself in New York or he’s in London and there was a chance to have dinner or have coffee and see what happened. We couldn’t leave our country. Like many friendships globally, we lost each other because Covid”.

The two starred together as Jack and Rose in 1997’s Titanic, and later as husband and wife in 2008’s Revolution Path.

It also reflected how young they were when they filmed the movie “Titanic”.

“I turned 21 in that shot, and Leo turned 22,” she said wistfully according to the outlet.

Both Winslet, now 46, and DiCaprio, 47, have done well for themselves in the 25 years since they met on the ship.

“He’s my friend, my really close friend,” said Winslet. “We are connected to life.”
