Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss on going “even deeper” into Neo and Trinity for ‘The Matrix Resurrections’

Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss teased what to expect from Neo and Trinity’s relationship in Resurrection Matrix.

asked by NME On what makes the bond between Neo and Trinity so strong, Moss baffled their relationship in the sequel. “What I always loved about Trinity from the way Lana and Lily created it was that I never really felt like it was taken advantage of,” Moss said.

“It was never sexual. She was this equal partner and their love was beyond romance. I think we go deeper into that in this episode.”

“I’ve always thought that was really really special and I appreciated that as a young woman at the time playing with her, to play this really strong woman in black PVC, but it never, for me, ever felt exploited or sexualized. I just never felt like that.”

Speaking about what brought him to the role of Neo all these years, Reeves said, “I think the life experience and all of [what] That involves the highs and lows and everything in between.

“For me, the character and its journey felt like a kind of examination of the past; how do I feel about it and where I am now. What does that mean? What is important? So there wasn’t a lot of nostalgia, but a reflection and a yearning to understand.”
