New Costume Has Nods to Previous Spider-Men

  • Warning: There are plenty of spoilers for “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
  • Tom Holland’s Peter Parker gets a new Spidey suit by the end of the movie.
  • Seems to be a homage to the suits of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

Spider-Man Tom Holland abandons his Tony Stark suits at the end of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” for a new homemade outfit that appears to feature some personal touches from the hero himself.

While many have noted that it looks like the most accurate comic book costume yet, you may have missed that it also appears to have nods to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfields’ Spider-Man.

Take a closer look as Holland’s Spidey swings across New York City at the end of the movie. Many fans are convinced that the new suit is a fusion of features from previous Spider-Man suits.

You will notice that the front of the New Holland suit has a black spider that resembles the Spider-Man of the Maguire era. The second one is hard to catch, but the back of the suit has a taller red spider. While the back of Maguire’s suit also features a red spider, Andrew Garfield’s iteration of the character has a similar logo on the back of his suit.

It would be a nice nod to Parker’s kinship with the other two Spider-Men men he met surprisingly, teamed up with, and got some advice from the “No Way Home” superheroes.

In an interview with Marvel.com, Holland likened the trio’s relationship with the character to “brotherhood.”

Now, it looks like Peter will always be with his Spidey brothers as he advances on his next adventures as a web-thrower.
