‘RHOC’ star Noella Bergener claims husband abandoned his autistic son

“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Noella Bergner has accused her estranged husband of abandoning her and their two-year-old autistic son.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the reality TV newbie claimed that five months ago, her husband and partner of six years, James Bergner, left their home and served her with divorce papers from Puerto Rico.

“To this date, James has not visited our son or given me any explanation for his departure,” Noella claimed along with a clip from the upcoming “RHOC” episode that showed her crying after handing over divorce documents.

“He fled the state to escape service. My cards are still locked, he hasn’t paid a cent in support, he has stopped paying for our house and he is currently postponing our divorce unless I sign a statement saying I lied about him, his business partner, and his brand.”

She added that it was “brutal” to revive the drama when the episode aired.

“I only spoke the truth and I have all the receipts,” she wrote. “If anything, I have really protected my husband by not talking about his issues but instead focusing on my journey through this divorce now. He is the father of my child and he wants him to be healthy.”

The 36-year-old said she decided to stay on the show after he left because it was the only thing she’d “get [her] out of bed.”

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for my family. I don’t want to encourage James to bash this post. Just providing an insight into the hell I’m still in,” she concluded.

James did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The video clip shows Noella – who married James in June 2020 – along with the caption that she trusts her new friend Nicole James shortly after he filed for divorce.

“I still need to find him in order to reuse the credit cards, make sure the rent is paid, and in order to proceed with my son’s treatment,” Bergner tells James.

The video then reverts to an earlier scene where Bergner talks to co-star Shannon Pedro about her son’s diagnosis.

“Autism was definitely a curve ball that we didn’t expect,” she told her. “It was a trip.”

The mother of two – who also has 7-year-old Coco from a previous marriage – revealed that when doctors first told her about James Jr’s autism, she thought it was a “death sentence”.

“My personal struggle has been my lack of education,” she told People last week. “I thought it was a death sentence. I was in mourning for the loss of a life I thought my two-year-old would hardly have.”

She added, “The word autism sounds like cancer in many ways when you’re a parent. It’s just a big word and it can overwhelm you.”

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo Channel.
