While most celebrities have fled Hollywood in the past year, Rosie O’Donnell is moving there.
Records show that the comedian closed in on a Los Angeles property on December 3 for $4.6 million. This marks O’Donnell’s first home in the Golden State, as she has lived most of her life on the East Coast.
The move comes a few months after O’Donnell’s sale of her old New Jersey home at a $1 million loss to a developer who plans to demolish the property and create affordable housing units in its place, The Post reports.
Built in 2019, this is a modern five-bedroom, six-bathroom ranch-style property spanning over 4,100 square feet.
Located in the Beverlywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, the home features 10-foot ceilings on the first floor with nine-foot ceilings upstairs. A kosher chef’s kitchen with Caesarstone aquatic island is included, butler area and pantry.
The basic suite has vaulted ceilings, fireplace and double wardrobes.
The Montecito-style landscaping features olive trees, rose bushes, and lavender, and resort-style lighting, according to the listing.
The home also comes with iPad-controlled voice integration and a security system.
Ron Wayne and Brett Raskin of Compass made the list; Alexandra Flynn of MS Property Partners in Keller Williams Beverly Hills represented the buyer.
O’Donnell also sold two properties in upstate New York earlier this year, losing $2 million.
She still has a four-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouse in Manhattan that was purchased for $8.5 million in 2017.
