For kitties, there’s never a bad time to slip in a bikini.
The Canadian model debuted in Sports Illustrated swimwear in 2013. Fast forward to 2020, when the 33-year-old teamed up with Jasmine Sanders and Olivia Culpo to appear on the coveted cover. As a sought-after supermodel, the call to fly to any gorgeous destination can happen at any moment, which is why she always plays a part in a two-piece pose.
But these days, Facebook is busy in other ways. She was recently appointed Brand Manager for the sparkling hard water brand Pompette. It has also teamed up with Bond-I Australia to launch a capsule collection for those looking to refresh their wardrobes with new, attractive swimwear. Wedding bells will soon be heard after Bock said “yes” in January to NBA star Kevin Love.
Bock spoke to Fox News about being part of the SI Swimsuit family, making fun cocktails at home, how she stays fit year-round, plus foods she should always have in her fridge.

Fox News: Looking back, what made you want to join Sports Illustrated?
Kit Book: I just remember looking at magazines when I was a little girl in Canada. I always thought women were so beautiful and locations were so weird, as if it was all a dream. I’ve been with this brand for nearly a decade now, and it’s a crazy feeling. But they have supported me all these years. We are together all year round at events, meetings and calls. They are really present in my life. They helped me grow as a person, and inspired me to develop as an entrepreneur, which I love.
Fox News: How do you feel when you know you’re getting ready for the next shoot?
Facebook: This is madness. People always ask me, “How do you prepare for a shoot?” In my field, you always have to be prepared. I can get a call to fly tonight to Mexico and launch a bikini campaign tomorrow. It’s sometimes that fast. So I don’t prepare much for Sports Illustrated. In this industry, you always have to be ready to take off. So it’s more about leading a healthy lifestyle with daily exercise than anything else. And the brand does an amazing job of making every girl feel their absolute best on their own body.
Fox News: What goes through your mind whenever you see one of your photos?
Facebook: I think I have a strange breakup with him. I still think it’s a dream state. I’m going to look at the picture and say, “Oh my God, what a fantasy.” Then I go, “Oh, wait. That’s me in the picture.” (laughs) It wasn’t a dream. I went to Bali with some of my best friends in the world and did a dream job. In the group everyone is very positive and encouraging, so we end up having a lot of fun. When you have a group of people screaming at you how amazing you look in a swimsuit, it’s hard not to feel that way. I love working with Sports Illustrated.
Fox News: The magazine has been praised in recent years for featuring different body types.
Facebook: When I first started with the brand, the fan base was more male. The more we used to meet and greet, the more men there were. But over the years, as the brand expanded its list of models, the number of women and girls became much larger. The brand wants to be inclusive and have representation for everyone. This way, when you look at the magazine, you feel like an actor. So when we meet and greet now, it’s the women and girls who tell us how amazing it was for them to see themselves in us. Some of them even cry or get emotional because they are finally seen. And that was very beautiful to me.

Fox News: What prompted you to partner with Bombit?
Facebook: I was gifted the product by Sports Illustrated because they partnered together. So I got to know the products that way. I fell in love with the bottle and its design. I thought she was very beautiful. But it’s also low in calories. It’s low in sugar and 40 calories per glass, 160 per bottle. So all of these things appealed to me. I wanted to know how we could work together, which is exciting for me to be involved in a company that I like. She began posting stories about them on Instagram, then participated in business calls and meetings with distributors.
Fox News: Do you have a favorite cocktail recipe?
Facebook: I am a big fan of the Moscow mules. I make my way with the flavor of grapefruit and bergamot, which is light, citrusy and refreshing. I add a little vodka, some fresh lime juice, ginger beer, a bit of grapefruit juice that I squeeze into it and a sprig of rosemary. It’s delicious and something you can honestly eat all year long. I’m a big fan of grapefruit, so I love making cocktails where I can add some of that in there. I also love the bergamot grapefruit flavor with tequila, a little grapefruit juice and some cinnamon. It’s a nice drink to have on a cold day at home or at the beach. When it comes to recipes, all seasons are the way to go.
Fox News: If we were to go to your fridge now, what would we find?
Facebook: I’m always running, so I like things that I can grab easily. For example, I love Abby’s Better squeeze bundles. They have different types of nut butters, such as almond or even sunflower. It’s great when I go to the gym and I can just throw it in my bag. I also like to carry it when I travel. It’s an easy snack on the go.
But I’m a big almond butter person, so you’ll always find that. I am also a big white person. I eat eggs pretty much every day for breakfast. I love eggs. I’m also a huge avocado fan. I love eating it fresh or using it to make chocolate mousse for dessert. I know it sounds weird, but it’s really good. I highly recommend it. I also have a lot of fresh turkey and chicken strips. I always like to eat takeout at Tupperwares, just ready to go. This way, when you get home and are really tired, you just have to heat it up. And you’ll have plenty of options, too.

Fox News: What is your fitness routine like these days?
Facebook: I’m someone who lives between several different places because my fiance plays basketball in Cleveland. So we are constantly traveling. I am a person who exercises regularly, but it all depends on what I can reach for that day. Sometimes I will do a workout at home with a fitness app.
I love good dance cardio because it’s really fun, and you can honestly do it anywhere. When I’m at home, I work out with my trainer in the mornings at Gotham Gym. I love it and can get my daily workout done. Sometimes I’ll bike there, and it’s great to start your day that way. If I travel a lot or feel overwhelmed, I love hot yoga to help stretch it all out. I do not spin. I love SoulCycle and do Pilates. And if I’m in a different city, I’m looking for workouts near my hotel.
I also have a puppy, so she takes me out every day. I’m starting to notice the miles I walk with my dog. So I walk everywhere to get things done, but I’m also in a walkable city. If I am in a place where it is not possible to walk much, I take the treadmill and walk for an hour. And I find that this makes a huge difference. And on the days when I feel like challenging myself, I’d probably do a little incline for an hour.
I think the key is to move your body. You should not be afraid to do some exercises. Whatever works for you is great. I also love TRX Suspension Trainers, and you can just strap them to your door. It’s amazing to stretch. You can do cardio or strength training with your body weight. It’s also easy to travel with. It’s hard to have an excuse at this point for not solving because there are so many things you can do.

Fox News: Have you noticed which swimwear styles will be trendy in the new year?
Facebook: I love the classic one-piece cuts, ones that you can also wear as a suit. I’m also a big fan of skin tones that contrast or match your complexion. I love soft neutral tones, and I’m seeing more brands coming out with that.
Fox News: Buying a swimsuit can be very daunting. What advice would you give to someone who wants to make the most of their experience?
Facebook: Unfortunately, not many changing rooms have attractive lights. What I like to do is take pictures and send them to my girlfriends at home for their feedback. It also gives you another way to look at yourself in a swimsuit before you buy it. To look good in the photo, always face the light. If there is a light above your head, it will look very unpleasant. Unfortunately, it has that in a lot of changing rooms, so people feel bad trying things out. If you can find a light source, face it. Those mirrors with built-in floodlights are the way to do it.
