The Brutal Way Michael B. Jordan Convinced His Marine Dad He Could Act For A Living

Michael B Jordan told Stephen Colbert on Thursday that convincing his mother that she wanted to pursue acting was easy, because she’s an artist. It was his practical father, who served in the Marines, who had to win. (Watch the video below).

The “Creed” star remembers the moment this happened: Jordan booked a print ad from Doritos, but his mom couldn’t accompany him to the shoot. So his father took him.

Jordan was sick that day and said he impressed his father because he had “run the car through the illness”.

Jordan recalls on “The Late Show: “I was vomiting, I was sleeping, and then someone called ‘work. to sleep again.”

But it wasn’t just that.

“When he saw me on set and saw how the rest of the adults treated me, my work ethic, he was finally like, ‘You know, my son takes this very seriously. “He’s a professional now,” Jordan said.

Jordan is co-starring in the upcoming “Journal for Jordan,” directed by Denzel Washington.
