Of course we’re talking about the upcoming final season of the NBC drama, which begins Tuesday, January 4th, at 9/8c. And if you don’t get a feel for the official trailer, where elderly Rebecca ponders Mandy Moore the last thing she’ll remember before her sophisticated mental decline is complete, let’s be honest: The series’ final season is shaping up to include moments of deep sadness, including likely Rebecca’s death.
But the cast members are no strangers to portraying heartache, and they’re also really good at keeping their show secrets close. So when we asked Ventimiglia if there were certain days during the shooting that really hit him emotionally, we weren’t prepared for his very candid answer.
He said, “Oh yes.” “Episode 4, Season 6. Here it comes. Yeah, awesome.”
Although Ventimiglia declined to say what exactly happens in the installment — which will air a third of the way through the 18-episode season — what is I did Tell us we’re curious (and frankly, a little scared).
